Hello!
Boy howdy is it good to be home from Pack Expo in Las Vegas! I hope this blog post finds everyone back in the comfort of his/her home state!
Though I didn't get to voyage too far from our 10x10 plot in the Lower South Hall, I did observe that the show seemed busy as a beehive! Dordan's booth was located towards the entrance of the convention center so come 9:00 AM Monday morning, it appeared as though a wall of humans were marching towards us; it was awesome. By Wednesday, however, you were more likely to come across a tumbleweed blowing than discover a buyer in the aisles. Nonetheless, I think it was a successful show for most. Check out my rather limited highlights below, ha!
Here is our booth, all gussied up!
Look at these handsome devils; they're ready to sell some thermoformed plastic packaging solutions! Sorry for the blur-- I had to orchestrate the photo between swells of attendees!
Pictured: Left, Dordan Account Executive/Slavin family friend Rod Russell; center, Dordan Sales Manager and brosif, Aric Slavin; right, Dordan Account Executive Rich Partlow.
Look! Neon green plastics, rad.
Here is Victor Bell, President at Environmental Packaging International, spitting hot truths at the Annual AVPM meeting about the integration of the Global Packaging Project's metrics for assessing sustainable packaging with the barcode system for reporting. More to come on this in a later post!
And look here! A custom thermoformed container at the lovely Bellagio resort & Casino!
And the stereotypical "Look, Mom I am on the strip!" photo feature!
My next post will summarize RECOUP's Plastics Recycling Conference; stay tuned!
