Las Vegas—January 7, 2014—Dordan Manufacturing brings multi-media “Design for Thermoforming” exhibit to the 2014 International Consumer Electronics Show,
booth # 70229.
Unlike design firms that develop packaging concepts that often require modification prior to manufacturing, Dordan integrates the manufacturing process and innovations inherent in the art of thermoforming into the package developmental process itself; this allows Dordan to develop thermoformed packaging solutions that work in harmony with the various manufacturing, fulfillment and distribution demands of its clients’ products and supply chains.
The interactive exhibit includes photo-realistic renderings of packaging designs and streaming 3D package modeling videos, all created in NX, an advanced high-end CAD/CAM/CAE software platform. To accompany the digital renderings will be the associated thermoformed parts, demonstrating the seamless transition from concept to reality.
Dordan CEO Daniel Slavin explains, “I always assumed that packages were designed with the conversion process as the forefront, not afterthought, of the packaging developmental process. However, recent experience indicates that package design and manufacture are becoming increasingly removed from one another, resulting in problems for the designer, manufacturer, and ultimately, brand owner. Consequently, Dordan has invested in 3D package design rendering technologies that communicate the form and function, allowing for the reduction of risk and ease of cross-department decision making.” Visit Dordan Manufacturing at International Consumer Electronics Show, booth # 70229, to learn about the company’s
